WHAT'S NEXT THE VEIN FLOWER, wait they all technically have veins, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THERE'S A FLOWER THAT'S A BRAIN OR LOOKS SIMILAR TO ONE. -------------------------------------------------- Minor thing aside from the intro, the Diphylleia grayi, also known as the skeleton flower is a beautiful white and transparent flower with a yellow center. The reason why they become transparent is because of prolonged periods of moisture which results in skeletal or glass-like petals, tall and are characterized by their large green leaves and clusters of six-petaled flowers. Typically, the petals appear white not due to white pigmentation but because of tiny air bubbles in the cells that reflect light. When moisture enters the petals, the cells cannot reflect light as easily, leading to transparent petals. -------------------------------------------------- It is also has medical uses as the extracts contain substances similar to but more powerful than podophyllin and colchicine.
