Privacy Policy
Who we are
iM System (imsystem.app and the iM System app) is an unofficial, non-commercial fan community for the game Cytus II, run by volunteers. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rayark Inc.

Information you give us
- Account: your handle, display name and password (stored only as a salted hash), and an email address if you add one for account recovery.
- Date of birth: asked at sign-up only to confirm you are at least 13. We check it and discard it; it is never stored.
- Profile: avatar, bio, tag, favorite character, and your language, time zone and display settings.
- Content: posts (text, images, audio and links), comments, likes, follows, blocks, reports, and private messages, including images you send.
Information collected automatically
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in.
- Your IP address, stored only as a one-way hash, to limit abuse such as repeated sign-in attempts.
- A device token for push notifications, if you turn them on.
- Cookieless, aggregated page-view statistics (Vercel Web Analytics). These do not identify you.
- Technical error reports (the error, the page and your browser type) when something breaks.
Settings such as sound volume are saved on your own device and are not sent to us.
How we use it
We use this information to run the service: to show your posts and profile, deliver messages and notifications, keep accounts secure, moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service, translate posts and comments into each reader's language, and find and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
Who can see what
Posts, comments and your public profile (handle, display name, avatar, bio and tag) can be seen by anyone, including people who are not signed in.
Private messages can be seen only by the people in the conversation, and by moderators when a message is reported to them.
Service providers
We rely on these companies to run iM System. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Vercel: hosting and page-view statistics.
- Supabase: database and file storage.
- Anthropic: machine translation of post and comment text. Private messages are never sent for translation.
- Resend: account emails such as verification and password reset.
- Apple Push Notification service and browser push services: delivering the notifications you turned on.
- An error-tracking service, when enabled: error reports.
If a post includes a YouTube link, the video is embedded from YouTube, which may collect information under Google's privacy policy when you play it.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information for as long as your account exists.
Deleting a post or comment hides it right away. Deleting your account (Profile → Security → Delete account) permanently erases your account and everything in it: posts, comments, likes, messages and uploaded files. Copies may remain in our providers' routine backups for a limited time.
We keep a record that an account was deleted, without your handle or email, and records of moderation decisions needed to keep the community safe.
Children
iM System is not for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it. If you believe this has happened, contact support@imsystem.app.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time, turn notifications off, and delete your account from within the app.
To ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or with any other request, email support@imsystem.app. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act or Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act may give you further rights, and we will honor them.
Security and international transfers
Passwords are hashed, all traffic uses HTTPS, and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use elsewhere.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will announce significant changes in the app.
