[OOC] Question for college students/graduates

College just started for me and I have a question for other college students and/or graduates. Will my sleep schedule be very wack? And will all nighters be extremely common for me?

… So, I didnt fall asleep until 5:00 in the morning… Although Ive never ever pulled an all nighter because of studying before.

I have pulled all-nighters. Its not fun. Theres a saying that there are three aspects of college life: academics, social life, and sleep, and you can choose to prioritize two out of the three. Id say it depends on your scheduling, discipline, and workload.

Ive met people in college with astonishingly good sleep schedules — one student slept at 9 and woke up at 5, every day — and absolutely terrible ones — all-nighters all the time, assisted by unhealthy amounts of caffeine. It really depends on the person.

It depends on how you arrange your classes and personal time. For me, maintaining a consistent schedule could be very important.

((OOC: My sleep schedule is pretty consistent, but I wouldn't say it's good. During the school year I get like 6-7 hours of sleep if I'm lucky and intentional, but during exam seasons that number goes down to like 4. I think it really depends on how you split your time and what you value. I've realized that all-nighters rarely work for me and that it just stresses me out, so I'll always choose to just go to sleep over trying to power through something that's much more difficult when I'm exhausted.

@leucinelucy thats good stuff! I realized that more people pulling all nighters because they like to, not actually the most productive time for them.

personally varies IMO, i have roommates and when im not alone i go to sleep early as well but alone i manage to stay up for a good while xd

that said, it's a good thing to manage your time properly and take moments to rest when needed! can't ask you for much but so long as you're careful a semi-wack schedule is better than a very wack schedule
