little things
I hope people don't mind me talking about myself on iM, a private journal just doesn't make sense to me because i'd just be writing down things I already know haha...
anyway, I recently attended a pretty small open karaoke event hosted over the virtual internet. I didn't sing myself (I have never been too great at it) but figured some interaction would be nice, rather than being stuck with nothing but thoughts and sleep all day. I don't remember what I did at the start because I think I ended up zoning out, but quite a handful of people seemed like they were pretty drunk (is it even safe to drink alcohol while connected?) . as for the actual karaoke there were a handful of PAFF(?) songs and a few I didn't recognize at all, and at some point someone even played a ROBO_head track(? could also have been NEKO#ΦωΦ's, sometimes i can't tell their styles apart) and in place of lyrics they were chanting some (somewhat slurred, on account of their apparent drunkenness) lyrics to some vocal samples or whatever. somehow, I was actually kinda invested in listening to all of it, even the not-so-great ones. happy to announce that I at least felt a bit better than baseline (which nowadays is nearly nothing at all)
.. though now that i think about it, I never really did interact with a lot of them, did I? it was mostly people-watching and listening to people sing their hearts out (for better or worse) . oh well, it is what it is. not sure why I expected some kind of instant fix for whatever is wrong with me.
i think the music was the one thing I actually paid attention to though. idk, maybe I should listen to music more often? recommendations are welcome
Music seems to help, doesn't it? Perhaps it's the knowledge that you're sharing the experience of listening to an album with thousands or millions of others who felt the same way. Have you listened to Sporcizia in Bocca by i TiTani? It's an older record. Experimental, but I like it.

I haven't, and not sure if I would be able to find it :( do you have a way i could go and listen to it? also good point, I never thought about the music experience that way before. a group experience.. to me, hearing music is hearing the direct product of someone else's unique expressions, it's kind of personalized for everyone even when it's not meant to be. but you could probably say that about all art in general to be honest

@aviseapA4per That's right. I think it's part of the reason taste is often so obscure and unpredictable. Everyone hears something different in the same piece of music... but isn't that another reason to listen along with others?
[OOC] Sorry, was being deliberately goofy with the names there ^^; It's an Italian prog rock record that's actually called Terra in Bocca by i GiGanti. A little more obscure than AC/DC (or DC/DC, as Xenon listens to) so definitely not your fault! As a side note Adamas's music taste is a little different from mine. I'm not sure what music styles you like but I'd be happy to give my own recommendations!

Music is life after all ~~ It brings people together to harmonize (〃ω〃) Recently, I've been listening to vavava (Behold their long titled songs ~~) and Paradox ^_^ This one's a classic but I've been listening to Daft Punk too (ﾟ∀ﾟ)
Music has that kind of affect, it makes you feel better... Well depending if the song is appropriate for how you currently feel, like please don't listen to a sad song while already being sad. For the recommendations I would suggest SECRET;WEAPON, Green hope (this has helped me a lot in the past) and Kanata from PAFF
[OOC - Try the songs from mili and flavor foley. Mili has a lot of different genre of songs, my favorite songs from mili are SAIKAI, String theocracy, gone angels, and through patches of violet and flavor foley has song about the different flavors of love, not the romantic kind at the start my favorites there are butcher's vanity (their first song as a group), water the roses (the reason why I made my OC here selling flowers), and weathergirl ]
